Meet the Catapult Team
Before joining Catapult to run its day-to-day operations, George served as Editorial Director of AIM’s Marine Group. He had responsibility for branding, content, and product development across print, digital, social, and custom publishing. Prior to AIM, George served as VP Account Services for a New York City ad agency, leading accounts such as Umbro Soccer, STX Lacrosse, Head Sports, The Washington Capitals, and Grand Banks Yachts. An avid skier and sailor, George has logged more than 35,000 ocean miles including a transatlantic crossing.
Amanda Phillips brings 10+ years of lead generation experience to Catapult. In 2014, she relaunched the Home Group’s B2B and B2C qualified buyer programs. Before AIM, Amanda served in marketing leadership positions at Intrado, and in Penton Media’s Technology Division. At home in Loveland, Colorado, with her two young sons and husband, Amanda enjoys running, reading, and time with her boys.
A Colorado native, Mike oversees AIM’s database strategy, email marketing, and advanced customer tracking. Mike’s team is responsible for executing smart marketing campaigns using AIM’s extensive customer records and our state-of-the-art database. When not crunching numbers, Mike chases trout and spends time with his wife and son.
With 20+ years’ experience, Kelly is a seasoned communications and marketing lead, with success working on both the client and agency side. She is deeply experienced in creating traditional and non-traditional media strategies; digital and social marketing; retailer and consumer events, promotion, and reputation management; and branding campaigns for clients small and large. Prior to Catapult, Kelly was an Executive Director at Golin, a global IPG communications agency. Among other projects, she led the Clif Bar and Mount Gay accounts, as well as strategy for outdoor/sports and social purpose initiatives for Adidas. Based in Oakland, Kelly is well-known in the outdoor, ski, bike and health and wellness industries, and leads Catapult’s efforts in those areas.
Dayna directs corporate communications and international licensing for AIM. Here and at companies as varied as Salon.com and Harper Collins, she’sworked on many national news campaigns, bestselling books, and product launches. In her spare time, Dayna loves writing and cooking; her memoir, Ravenous, was published by Hay House.
With 20+ years of experience, Kristy leads all content-related research at AIM, while also supplying market insights and analysis for our partners. She has spent the past decade leading research services and advertising accountability programs, including, but not limited to: brand and campaign awareness, perception and engagement studies, strategic brand launch studies, creative concept testing, ROI guarantee, and brand-lift research. Prior to AIM, Kaus held positions at Time Inc., Times Mirror, and Gannett.
Jon launched Catapult Creative Labs at AIM in January 2016 and continues to oversee the agency along with AIM’s digital and video operations. His distinguished career includes numerous awards for editorial content, digital innovation, and multimedia product development. He lives in Boulder and enjoys sports that require fanatical suffering.
A 17-year veteran of film and television, Jeff oversees AIM Studios, our in-house production company. AIM STUDIOS works with clients to strategize and create custom content, commercials, TV shows, and digital content. Jeff previously worked for sister company Warren Miller Entertainment, where he led the television development group creating pilots, specials, and television series for networks including ESPN, E! Entertainment Television, Spike TV, Fox Sports, Travel Channel, Versus, The Weather Channel, and The Outdoor Network. His credits include producing more than 100 episodes of television, and 2,000 commercial and branded content videos.
Meredith supports day-to-day operations with extensive social media, digital engagement, and content experience. Prior to Catapult, Meredith worked in financial services as a social media and PR specialist. She’s also served as managing editor at Sailing World and events coordinator at PeopleForBikes—a 7-month stint when she lived out of a station wagon, camped 80+ nights, and traveled 27,000 miles. Meredith lives near Boulder with her husband, where she continues to ride bikes and sleep under the stars.
Katie is AIM’s digital nerve center, the person who makes sure all systems are optimized and running smoothly. She oversees website hosting and analytics, as well as enterprise platforms for content management, video, newsletter, and advertising. She previously worked on Backpacker.com, RunnersWorld.com, Prevention.com, Menshealth.com, and other sites. Katie also teaches social media for UCLA Extension and has freelanced for The Onion, Sunset, and 5280. She lives in Boulder with her husband, two sons, and Lunchbox the bulldog.
